Juan Almendarez started his career as a painter in Bay City, learning his craft through long days on job sites and building a reputation for dependable, detail-focused work. That experience laid the foundation for the standards JA Painting still follows today.
He later moved to Houston to pursue the American dream and start JA Painting. In the early years, the company ran with a small team of three, taking on projects one at a time and growing through consistent work, strong relationships, and word of mouth.
By 2012, JA Painting had completed over 5,000 projects and expanded into commercial work. Today, we serve homeowners and businesses across the greater Houston area, from historic bungalows in Montrose to office buildings in the Energy Corridor.
We still operate the same way we started. Show up on time, prep thoroughly, use quality materials, and leave every job cleaner than we found it. The difference is now there are more of us doing it.
